Last night, P@rker asked if we could bake a cake today for Martin Luther King's birthday. "I don't think I have a cake mix, but we could probably make some brownies if you want." He nodded his head in agreement, then turned to his dad and said: "Sometimes I am just so ashamed when I think of how we used to treat black people." What 8-year-old says that? Ours, I am proud to say. I just love his senstive heart. He feels things so deeply. (This concludes my proud parent moment - you can go back to your regularly scheduled program now.)
