Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002 || The only fair way and other travel tales | ||
Yesterday I flew for the first time since 9-11. I have to admit that I was a little nervous - but I conquered my apprehension and made it half way across the country in one peice. So, here are some tales of the trip... As I sat on the plane, waiting for it to taxi down the runway, I noticed two baggage handlers walking along. Apparently baggage handlers settle who will do what by playing paper-scissors-rock. Yup, the only fair way to settle a dispute, as far as my husband and three children are concerned. And at the St. Louis airport I was chosen twice for searches: my luggage for the random ex-ray and all my carry-ons and me for a full search just before boarding the plane. Yup, blonde haired, blue eyed mother of three eminates crazed psycho. (grin!) Well, since I am staying with my family, I am sure more tales will be forth coming!
