This should be my final entry on our Thanksgiving shenanigans. :-)

On Friday, Rick and Rob decided to get up early and get mauled at Best Buy and Circuit City. Apparently, BB was so crowded that police were at the doors letting people in as people left. And of course, what they went in search of was long gone by the time they got there at 7 AM!

Later that day we went into Dallas to see Dealey Plaza and the Book Depository. Neat place, but could have done without seeing the poster full of pictures of JFK's autopsy!

We stopped at a McD's that is shaped like a happy meal on the way back to Lewisville. Neat place. The ladies room was almost solid black, even the toilets. Tammy would have loved it!

We packed up and left Lewisville at about 7 PM and drove to McAlester, OK to stay the night (3 hours). Saw lots of wild lightning to the east of us the whole way.

We drove over to Talihina on Saturday morning to visit Rob's great-grandma. She looks great at 83, and made us bacon while I fried up some eggs. We left for the final drive home around 11 AM. Less than an hour into the drive, a friendly OK trooper pulled us over. It was very strange, because Rob rarely goes more than 8 miles over if that. But he was tired and was clocked at 13 over. The cop also thought that it was a bit too windy for him to be driving at that speed. So, unfortunately for us, he issued a ticket, but for only 10 over.

The rest of the drive was long and uneventful. Grabbed pizza on the way into town, ate, put the kids to bed, and stayed up till 1 AM trying to get everything ready for church the next day. I was pooped, but all in all, it was worth it.

OK, enough of that mess. I have to get ready...song practice to plan, client in 2.5 hours, vet visit in 5, Christmas card list to review...on and on, the list is growing!
