I have come to the conclusion that Thanksgiving is not about consuming huge quantities of food, spending time with loved ones, or lounging on the couch watching Miami cream Dallas.

Oh, no, in this family it is all about the two G's. Guilt and gossip.

Ma famille et moi are in TX with ma soeur and her family. And for some strange reason our m�re believes that she must provide us with a blow-by-blow of the first Thanksgiving at the P-abode since the BIL imploded in lust and deserted our beautiful younger sister.

She is also delusional enough to think that we who are about 21 hours away can do something about it as opposed to her happy hiney that is in the same stinkin' town!

Doesn't she realize that there is turkey and pecan pie to snarf?!

I just wanna eat me some homemade stuffing without a side of guilt-ridden "can you please call Janie on your cell phone 'cause I am worried, and it costs her $.40 if I call, 'cause she is out of minutes, but it is free for you because you have the same cell plan...", blah, blah, blah, ad infinitum.

Oh, yeah, Christmas Eve this year should be a real treat!
